Ma Earth’s Funding Round 3 is almost over. This is a final call to show support for your favorite grassroots nature projects. Lots of small donations matter more than large ones, so even just a few dollars can help unlock multiples in matching, even if you’ve already donated to other projects: maearth.com/projects 🌿

The 202 projects participating in Round 3 have collectively raised over $500,000 USD from 8,970 unique donors around the world, exceeding our stretch goal and making a powerful statement about community-led regeneration. Let’s keep up the momentum in the home stretch!

Campaign highlights

  • Supporting Brazil and Mexico projects - Due to unforeseen international payment card issues, projects in these two countries didn’t get as much time to participate in the round. Want to show them support? See projects in: Brazil, Mexico

  • Foundations and donor-advised funds - For last-minute donations above $5,000 USD, please reach us here.

  • The RestorLife Awards feature nine exceptional community projects currently open for donations. Presented by Restor.eco and the G20 Global Land Initiative.

  • Andrew Millison’s “Plant the Rain” video for Dunbar Spring Neighborhood Foresters has been viewed over 3.4 million times on YouTube 💧. Check it out for a dose of inspiration on transforming asphalt deserts into urban food oases!

  • Our Instagram account has been active with featured stories uplifting different projects. We’ve also been re-sharing many of the creative posts from the community, including a nice one from Earthly Education, which reaches over 1 million followers.

  • Ma Earth is part of a growing ecosystem of interoperable funding tools, powered by Certified and including GainForest.earth, which is running a weekly BioBlitz challenge to record nature observations.

  • Our co-founder Matthew Monahan was on Nate Hagen’s The Great Simplification podcast to discuss the funding round, and with Holke Brammer of Hypercerts Foundation on Kevin Owocki’s Greenpill series, discussing the technology behind Ma Earth. You can see our library of interviews and recordings in the Ma Earth Studio.

We are grateful for the positive reception of our inaugural platform launch. Thanks for being on this journey with us. Once we’ve sent the matching funds to the projects, we will reach out with a survey to collect your thoughts and feedback, which will help shape future rounds.

We aim to launch Round 4 on Earth Day, April 22, 2027. 🌏

Viva La Regeneration!
